Acupuncturists train for almost 4 years in the UK.  Many complete a BSc or BA in Acupuncture and hold a License to Practice Acupuncture. This means they have undergone extensive training and supervised practice. To be a member of the British Acupuncture Council acupuncturist undertake yearly further training and development and many practice with continued supervision and support. When looking for a practitioner make sure you find a qualified acupuncturist registered with the British Acupuncture Council.
