Despite what we were told when we were younger, you don’t always get pregnant from unprotected sex!

In fact, it is estimated that women are only fertile for approximately 4 to 5 days each cycle. And even if there are no underlying issues and you have sex at the right time there is only a 25 to 35 % chance of conception happening.

So if you are trying to conceive, it’s important to understand your fertility, know what problems to look out for and be confident in when your fertile window is, to maximise your chances each month.

You may recognise her from This Morning, where she frequently appears as the in-house fertility expert. She has recently published a new book The Conception Plan, which brings together conventional medicine and complimentary practices to treat and support a person as a whole. Which, as an acupuncturist is music to my ears!
